Service Description

Discover the rich cultural heritage of Aboriginal Australia with our GARBA-BARGAIN-BOOMERANG workshop. In this workshop, a Giralang Guwal Cultural Facilitator will explain the many types of boomerangs, what their purpose is for each garrbaa (boomerang), how they were used to hunt with, and how the first boomerang was discovered and invented will be covered in this seminar. If there is a suitable outdoor area, you are permitted to learn how to throw. This engaging seminar not only provides valuable historical insights but also offers hands-on experience, making it a perfect addition to any educational program. Cancellation Policy

To ensure cultural protocols and correct procedures are followed, all bookings with Giralang Aboriginal Education NSW must follow the policy below: Booking & Payments All bookings must be made at least 2 months in advance online as the preferred method. Full payment is required at the time of booking, before the event date, to confirm the booking. Payments are processed securely through our online booking system. If assistance is required during booking, please contact Tracey Anson – 0492 339 237 or email giralangguwal@gmail.com Wet Weather Policy Outdoor bookings must include a secondary wet-weather plan (indoor venue or covered space) arranged by the client. Giralang Guwal staff will always attend bookings, regardless of weather conditions. If no alternate wet weather plan is provided by the client and the event cannot proceed as scheduled, the booking will be treated as a client cancellation Cancellations & Refunds If Giralang Aboriginal Education NSW cannot facilitate a job, we will notify you at least 2 weeks before the event and issue a 100% refund. If Giralang Guwal is required to cancel a booking for any reason, clients will receive a 100% full refund. Where possible, we will offer to reschedule the booking at a mutually agreed date and time. Refund Method Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7 business days. If you cancel: Within 2 business days of the event, a 50% cancellation fee applies. Earlier than 2 business days – a 25% cancellation fee applies. Please call Tracey Anson immediately if you need to cancel. No-Shows & Late Cancellations Failure to attend or notify us of cancellation will result in a full forfeiture of the booking fee. Services Provided We provide a full cultural service, which may include: Didgeridoo performance Smoking ceremonies Traditional dancers Welcome to Country Cultural workshops Event Requirements Please provide as much detail as possible about your event, including: Type of event (corporate, charity, community, educational) Approximate crowd numbers Venue details and setup requirements Progress updates and confirmations will be provided by our admin team leading up to your event. Commitment & Assurance In the rare event we cannot facilitate, we will connect you with other respected Aboriginal facilities, businesses, or Elders. Note: This has never happened in the past; the refund policy is in place to reassure clients of our reliability.
