✅ Client Rights
All clients booking Giralang programs have the right to:
Receive culturally respectful and professionally delivered programs
Request staff to obtain Working With Children Checks or credentials
Ask questions, request reasonable adjustments, and give feedback
A safe program experience for staff, students, and community
Cancel or reschedule within agreed notice periods
Confidentiality and respectful communication
📌 Client Obligations
Clients must:
Provide a safe, inclusive space for Aboriginal presenters
Ensure staff and students behave respectfully
Make full payment by the invoice due date
Refrain from recording or distributing content without written permission
Promptly inform Giralang of any changes to bookings, numbers, or requirements
Uphold cultural protocols and allow Elders/presenters space to deliver content safely
To ensure cultural protocols and correct procedures are followed, all bookings with Giralang Aboriginal Education NSW must follow the policy below:
Booking & Payments
All bookings must be made at least 2 months in advance online.
Full payment is required at the time of booking, before the event date, to confirm the booking.
Payments are processed securely through our online booking system.

Wet Weather Policy
Outdoor bookings must include a secondary wet-weather plan (indoor venue or covered space) arranged by the client.
Giralang Guwal staff will always attend bookings, regardless of weather conditions.
If no alternate wet weather plan is provided by the client and the event cannot proceed as scheduled, the booking will be treated as a client cancellation
Cancellations & Refunds
If Giralang Aboriginal Education NSW cannot facilitate a job, we will notify you at least 2 weeks before the event and issue a 100% refund.
If Giralang Guwal is required to cancel a booking for any reason, clients will receive a 100% full refund.
Where possible, we will offer to reschedule the booking at a mutually agreed date and time.
Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7 business days.
If you cancel:
Within 2 business days of the event, a 50% cancellation fee applies.
Earlier than 2 business days – a 25% cancellation fee applies.
Please call Tracey Anson immediately if you need to cancel.
No-Shows & Late Cancellations
Failure to attend or notify us of cancellation will result in a full forfeiture of the booking fee.

Type of event (corporate, charity, community, educational)

Venue details and setup requirements
Progress updates and confirmations will be provided by our admin team leading up to your event.
Commitment & Assurance
In the rare event we cannot facilitate, we will connect you with other respected Aboriginal facilities, businesses, or Elders. Note: This has never happened in the past; the refund policy is in place to reassure clients of our reliability.
